This game takes Stormy’s weekend award for the most different game! I noticed the “tris” in the name, the only thing that this game has in common with Tetris is that there are falling objects. There are a bunch of marbles at the top of the screen, and you can move them till you’re happy, then drop them. 3 of the same color, horizontally, vertically or diagonally will cause the marbles to disappear, and a score. There are 3 rounds to each level. At the beginning of each round, you are told what number and direction are required. At the end of each level, there is a bonus round.

Scoring is a regular run is worth 10 times the level, a required run is worth 100 times the level, and the bonus runs are worth 1000 times the level. So while you will get a score for non required runs, the round will not end until you get whatever number of required nuns was listed at the beginning of the round.

Oh, I forgot to mention something that can really throw a monkey wrench into your works. For the 3 rounds of each level, you don’t clear the field, so if you get grid locked, you can lose; and just to make life interesting, there are 2 more shapes besides the colored marbles. One says wild, and that’s good, [and self-explanatory] the other is roll right or roll left, and that makes most of the marbles shift. Which marbles you ask? That’s strategy, honey-an you have to figure that out yourself!

In the shareware version you can only go up to through the third level, and only use the default token set. In the registered version, as the author says, you open up the entire game, and open the way for the creation of more playthings. I couldn’t find out how many levels are in the registered version, but there are 3 more token sets, common shapes, animated geometric shapes, and precious metal shapes.
