Move over Adobe ... Jasc's closing in fast! I'm an avid Paint Shop Pro user and have been since Paint Shop Pro 5; Jasc just keeps making PSP more user-friendly and functional. What was in PSP5 a good basic graphics editor has become an amazing, professional graphics tool. At about a fifth the price of the grand master, it's a bargain.

The digital photography features have been dramatically advanced in Paint Shop Pro 7, with color adjustment and enhancement, removal of red-eye, the new Scratch Removal Tool which restores damaged photographs, and much more. Brushes, fills and text now support gradients, textures, and patterns. Over 20 new artistic and lighting special effects have been added to PSP's already extensive effects menus. As always, Animation Shop is included with the purchase of PSP 7 (now Animation Shop 3), to create professional-quality animations. My favorite new feature is the repeat last command. The new "Getting Started" guide gets new users up to speed with hands-on tutorials.

Jasc's website is full of helpful hints, tutorials and information, and their technical support crew is wonderful at getting you a timely responses.
