Some screen capture programs can take you months to figure out (actually, I have one that I still can't figure out and it's been a year!). HyperSnap DX, however, is not at all in that category!

With HyperSnap DX, you can capture screens from all standard desktop programs, as well as from DirectX games, DVD players and other video software. HyperSnap will even grab more than is visible on your screen. It integrates with Windows clipboard and has some new image editing features.

All you have to do is download and install the software, then open the program. Everything else is downhill. I started by pulling down the menu sections; in minutes I had my first screen capture. The image editing tools let you clean up your screen capture by cropping a selection that you specify.
