SuperCleaner yet another system cleaner. Along with the usual features (scanning for unneeded files for possible removal; cleaning out temporary internet and history files, typed URLs, cookies; clearing your start menu of dead links and your document and run lists), SuperCleaner has a couple of unique items: It alphabetizes your start menu and favorites list. SuperCleaner can be configured to run in the system tray and perform a number of features at startup.
The download, install, and use of the program was uneventful and straightforward. The user interface has a lot of eye appeal (you can choose either of two "skins" for the interface, one is a lightning scene, the other a beach scene, I believe).
The shareware version of SuperCleaner will not allow you to delete the unnecessary files it finds on scan. I know SuperCleaner isn't unusually expensive, but if I am going to invest any of my hard-earned money, I want to know the program works first: How it works, what it does, where the files go, and if it deleted anything I find necessary. I don't like the fact that the shareware version of SuperCleaner this crippled (basically, all it WILL do is alphabetize your favorites and start menu, and show you which files it finds that are candidates for deletion).
Worth $20 U.S.? Give it a try and see what you think.
