These guys may have made the most user-friendly PIM around. It really is a "download and start using" program. The free version won't let you e-mail or expand to full or double page size for editing, and while you can view available skins, you can't install them, but everything else works.

The help section is concise and to the point. No nag screens, just some advertisers listed under web pages. The program has been out a while and hasn't really changed exceptfor the addition of a photo album section for importing pictures, skins and email.
