Meteor rescue is a simple yet challenging Dos game put out by PLBM games in the spirit of PC and Atari classics that use the same style of gameplay. The object of the game is to fly your pod down to landing platforms slow and steady wins the race and to allow one stranded astronaut at a time to materialize aboard your ship. Then you have to ascend back up to the mothership that dropped you. Be careful! If you move even a little bit too fast or if you come in too wide, you will either crash or destroy yourself and the mothership. 

You get four lives to chance it with, and you will probably need them. Every time you rescue a stranded astronaut, your firepower increases, however so do the amounts of killer asteroids that get in your way. The landing platforms also get progressively smaller and eventually disappear after a few landings. This is a very challenging game despite the simplicity of its style and plot. 

Installation is as simple as unzipping and running the software and it runs perfectly in Dos and all versions of Windows. The shareware is limited and registration is $14.95 to forever enjoy this classic. Download it first and see for yourself.
