Did you ever try to play the cryptogram puzzle in the newspaper? or in a puzzle magazine? Well, here it is-yet one more thing you didn’t think to see on your computer, although I don’t know why not. So, here it is, Cryptograms in the privacy of your computer!

Well, I can never do the one in the paper, but maybe I was just born to be on the computer,. cause it seemed a lot easier in this game. You can use the mouse or the keyboard, and the letter board will either “float”, so you can shove it around when you’re stuck, or you can park it in one spot. If you don’t think the letter goes there, just press the key again, and it will pop up and the letter will go away, or if there was a different letter in the spot you tried-hit enter and it will go back to what it was before.

You can purchase the Extended version, [looks to me like you must have registered the program] you can get 4000 more quotes and the ability to add your own.

You can cheat by right clicking on a space in the puzzle, but it will cost you 3 minutes on the timer. Also there is a “helper”, a little smiley face icon, that will tell you when you place a letter if you’ve done it right or wrong, but that cost you one minute for each letter.

If I didn’t get lost I counted 35 puzzles in the first topic and there is 10 topics-I can’t help you any more I already have my shoes off! Give it a try, it just might amuse your spouse and kids, [watching you tear your hair out] and the price is right, huh?
