With most of these screensavers, if you go to the website, you can get the same screen saver for Windows 3.1, or for Windows 95/98.

Space Explorer is a screen saver that looks like a space shoot-em-up, except when the computer misses-you can’t take the gun away and do it yourself! You’re looking out a big window into space, with a panel at the bottom of the screen, simulating the controls. There’s planet earth, novas, space suited space-walkers, and all kind of things floating around, and there is laser fire pumping out from the front of your window-guess it’s you doing the shooting. And I can’t tell if you’re actually blowing up things or it’s just collisions, but at a lower speed the computer seems to be as bad at shooting as I am! In the settings, from the display panel there are all kinds of things to change, you can even add you own pictures.

The program also comes with Saverviser, which is a separate program, [and must be registered as such] and is a screen saver and wallpaper manager. You can set up your wallpaper to change to the current screensaver, or to change at a certain time by itself.

Space Explorer also comes with a task scheduler, and a message function, which can be accessed without turning off your screen saver, so people can leave you messages while you are away.
