Take Tedris, get it drunk, when the moon is full and mate it to oilcap. The result, assuming it doesn’t stagger, is TubeRoid!
This is one of the most unique games I have ever played, however, I do have a complaint and it’s a biggie! [when did you ever know me to complain small?] The rules suck! Sorry for the bluntness but it’s true. I understood what they told me, that you have pieces of pipe, the different elbows and the horizontal and vertical pieces fall from the top like Tedris, and you have to form a square, rectangle, etc to score. [then he mentions something about the size having to do with the amount of points-and that’s it!] It took me several games, short ones I might add, to discover that the bottom and the sides of the playing field will count as a wall. [Gee when I figured that out it got a little easier, and a little more fun!] But there are other things in the game, and I have NO idea what they are for or do! There is a little ghostie that bounces around and does nothing far as I can tell, and then there is a bright blue rain drop. Now I’m positive that once I saw it hit one of the pieces at the side and made the piece go away, but since I have never seen the drop do that again when it hits something-I’m so confused.
I don’t understand how someone can write such a great game, and then not be able to handle a simple help file!
After all that, strange as it sounds, I recommend this game-it’s a lot of fun. It has 3 skill levels, and god knows what else you’ll run into as you get farther along. Tell you what, download it give it a try, and see if it isn’t lots of fun.....and if anyone spots that raindrop zapping a piece and figures out why, let me know. At this point, I’m positive I saw it happen, but then I’ve been told I drink too much coffee!
