This is an educational chess program, in that it isn’t just a chess game, it will help you learn. You can either play against the computer, or the computer will play against itself, so you can watch. You can get all kinds of information by left clicking on the piece, or right clicking on the
square, including undo, redo, hints and computer moves, to get help from the computer.
This help file also includes the rules of chess, history and glossary, guidelines for beginners, and special information about children, and blind or visually impaired players.
There are many options, including setting how the computer will play, and the type, duration and scope of time limits and there are special settings for beginners.
There is a 30 evaluation period, registering the program removes all nags and the time limit that the shareware version has on each game.
Not only all that, but if you’re a real chess buff, once you install the game, there is now a screen saver with the same name. It has the same 7 pages of options, in this case listed under settings, and when you let it go-it plays a game by itself!
