Just when you thought they were over another shot has been fired in the browser wars. But wait, this one did not come from MS or AOL.

Netcaptor is a customized browser based upon the Internet Explorer controls. But that is where the similarities end. Naturally Netcaptor has all of the features that Microsoft included in Internet Explorer but it also has many features that they forgot. Like the ability to open multiple web pages on separate tabs in the same window. This multiple document interface is far more efficient than having multiple instances of IE running and having to guess which window is which. 

Tabs can be opened one at a time or if you have several sites you visit regularly you can create a CaptorGroup and open them all simultaneously. This is a real time saver when you need to quickly check your weather, stocks and favorite download site and you are in a hurry. 

There is also a neat feature called the CaptorBar which allows you to quickly find sites in your Favorites, search any one of several search engines, open pages from your History files or open Captor Groups with just a click. 

The interface is clean and even in the ad supported version you have a ton of viewable area. Tabs can be locked so that links clicked open on new tabs, great for search results or research. The product installs and un-installs cleanly and support is excellent. 

This is definitely one to watch. A vast improvement over Internet Explorer and one of the most useful pieces of software I have downloaded in quite some time.
