There may be, somewhere in this computer age, someone who has NOT heard of ACDSee. For the two of you <GRIN>, let me give you a basic overview of ACDSee.

ACDSee is an image browser. With it, you can open many file types-over 40 actually-and find and organize image and sound clips. ACDSee 3.0 is the newest version of an already great program. It now includes an image enhancer, allowing you to edit your photos. You may also choose what size you want for your thumbnail images. You can make a slideshow of images...fun for a webpage or to create a screensaver. You can view and browse INSIDE ZIP files so you don't have to unzip each and every file you have. It has an easy to use interface and supports 3rd party PlugIn's, most of which are free on the website but one, right now, that must be purchased. It also supports digital cameras and scanned images.

An image viewer might not sound important to some, but for we "graphic addicts" it is a God send and ACDSee 3.0 is clearly one of the best. The trial download is fully functional but after 30 days, you must purchase the program. A CD-ROM of the software is available for those who do not like downloading software but there is an additional charge for this. Upgrades are available if you have an earlier version of ACDSee and a CD-ROM is also offered.

You can use a secure online ordering system, accepting Visa, MC and AE as well as phone, fax or mail orders. There is email support as well as phone support (NOT toll free) and also fax support. This should cover most of us.

If you don't have ACDSee, I highly recommend investing in a copy of the program. It is a very efficient and inexpensive way to organize your graphics files.
