Have you ever visited some websites that use all sorts of kewl text animations? They jump, fade, rise, fall and move all over in the most fascinating way!

Well, if you have ever priced the Macromedia program that does this, you might think that such a graphics program is way beyond your budget. Well, guess again!

Visit to see how you can do many of the same special effects for $30, a small fraction of the cost of that "other" text animation program.

It is about time that someone made something like this for those of us who have budgets in the double figures, not triple.

SWiSH is a nifty little program that allows you to make your text "explode, wave, move, drop, rise, weave, distort..." as well as simulate a typewriter, fade in and out, really must visit the website for examples of all it can do. And most importantly, the program is VERY easy to use.

I have played with SWiSH for several days now and am enjoying combining the effects to create even MORE spectacular animations. It is fun to see what you can come up with.

There is a support forum where you can discuss SWISH with other users and share what you know, as well as ask questions. The SWiSH support staff checks the forum daily to answer questions and the program also includes an excellent help file. Unfortunately there is no phone support...the company is located in Australia. There is an email address or two however if you have any questions or comments.

If you are lucky enough to have Flash, you can import the SWISH movies into it. However, you do NOT have to have Flash installed to use SWISH. Plans are for you to use objects as well as text to create animations in the future.

You may purchase SWISH using a secure online ordering system and American Express, Visa, MC and Discover are accepted.

I urge you to visit the SWiSH website and look at the demos. I think it will be a pleasant surprise.

The program is crippled until cannot export your creations. Still, you can use the full program and then decide if it is something you would like to purchase. In my opinion, it is a great value for the money and worth checking out.
