The installation of this program went flawlessly. I installed it to a directory that was not the default, and it took to it just fine.
If you do any faxing at all I would give this program a shot. Here is the BiG reason. I belive in the KISS theory (Keep It Simple Stupid).
This beauty does too. Here is how simple it makes sending a fax. You go to the program that has the document you want to Fax, for example Microsoft Word. You "make" the document. Then you go hit the print button, when the print dialog starts you pick MightyFAX for your printer driver. Then a dialog box pops up. You fill in the Fax Number to dial, the Recipient's name and the Subject. Hit the Fax button. The up pops another box asking if you want to send that fax now or later.
The first time you run the program it automatically goes into a setup mode to find your modem for sending the fax. Don't worry it finds your modem. It found both of and mine and even suggested which one to use. Then you put in your name and the Fax number that you want to appear on the top of the fax (optional).
After that you can select a cover page, and append other information to your Fax.
Then hit the Send button.
In conclusion. I have tried, used and abused a whole bunch of Fax programs, some of them offered enormous options, plus a hefty mega-mega download and a steep price. I have tried the ones that come with modems. I have tried other Shareware ones.
This program, Hands Down is the best of all of the Fax programs. It is one of the most intuitive programs of any kind I have ever seen. It does what it is supposed to, it is a small download, and priced right. The context Help is great too.
So what are you waiting for? Got out and try it. You get 31 days , not too many nags and a full featured program to try out.
Listen if you have read this far, you are interested in a fax program, try and buy this one.
Oh, yes of course you can receive Faxes too, either manually or automatically.
