Multimedia Fusion (MMF) is an object-oriented multimedia-authoring tool that you can use to create applications such as multimedia presentations, games and screen savers. Its' forerunner was The Game Factory and MMF is an extension of that product only much better (especially since ClickTeam has taken it over). With MMF you literally have the whole game world in your hands in this point-n-click world so, if you are not comfortable with delving into learning a new programming language but still would like to get into and try your hand at some fun game programming, get into this program right away!
MMF lets you create applications and control the actions all by point and click. Now, if you say, "Yeah, but with point and click you just can't do everything there is." Well don't run yourself short until you give MMF a try first because you can indeed control all the actions, conditions, events, functions, animations, sounds, and more for each object you have in the game. Need to control the joystick, MCI devices or want to use ActiveX? Want to make a game that others can play via the Internet? With the Vitalize plugin it's a snap. So go right on ahead, make that next game however complicated and entertaining as you like.
The easiest way to begin using this program is to first create all the images you need in the game. Then add them into the programming environment and finally adjust any and all the actions on each element until you achieve the final desired effect(s). You actually do most of your coding from a few 'major' editors within MMF. Namely, the Storyboard Editor, the Events Editor, the Frame Editor and the Timeline Editor. These Editors harness the power that you command in your game. There are many more Editors so try them all out, like the Morphing Editor.
ClickTeam has great support for this program as well as an on-line Forum where you can always pick up a few more free plugins, tips and suggestions to make your MMF experience that much easier and entertaining.
