This is a space age version of Reversi, or more closely. Hexxwars. It’s you-the squares-against the lil ships. As in Hexxwars, You select the square you want to play, and if the square you’re going to is directly next to the one you’re on, you keep that square, get the new square, and change any ships that are adjacent. If you want to jump, you can jump 2 moves away, in any direction, but you will leave the square you were in empty. If the ship can jump to it, it is usually a good move for him.
The game is over when there no more moves, and the screen is not filled. If the screen gets filled, the one with the most pieces wins the level. If the ship wins 3 times in a row you will lose your highest level and need to go down one. The shareware version only has one level. The registered version has 5 levels. You can also download a demo of the FULL 5X demo with includes one level of Sasha, or for $12 you can buy/register to the full version which has 5 levels of 5X and 5 levels of Sasha, BUT Sasha is intended for mature players.
If you forgo Sasha, and want to let the kids play, not only is this an easy game to l;earn, but the directions are very easy and interactive-if you don’t get the moves right, you don’t finish the help file. Pretty cute game.
