Descartes Engima is very easy to learn and very addicting. In the United Kingdom this puzzle game is called a "Nonogram". In the United States it is called "Paint by Number". The game consists of a grid pattern with horizontal and vertical clues as to whether an individual square is black (left click) or white (right click). Using these clues the player constructs a picture. This program is a great introduction to logic for school-aged children and yet, sophisticated enough for adults.

The shareware version of this game consists of 5 small puzzles, 5 medium puzzles, and 25 large puzzles. The licensed version has over 200 picture puzzles as well as a multitude of additional puzzle sets that can be downloaded from the author maintained website.
