I reviewed ProtectX 3.01 last December and was impressed with the product then. Well, folks, what was very good to start with has just gotten better!

ProtectX is a hacker protection system for your P.C. It monitors your PC and if someone tries to connect, an alarm sounds; it then traces their IP address (including their Internet Service Provider's address, phone number and e-mail), and disconnects them from your computer. Naturally, the software creates a log that you can forward to your own Internet Service provider so that further action may be taken against the malicious user.

If this alone weren't enough, now ProtectX comes with a trojan sentry. Not only does the software detect trojans, but removes them from your system automatically!

It's still easy to install, use, and understand. The graphic interface is very easy to read and clean. Both the on-line help available and the instructions included with the software are easy to read and understand (although the software itself is so clear, you probably won't need much help).

At $35, this software is still a great deal and the piece of mind it provides is well worth the small investment. For those of you who purchased ProtectX 3.01, this new upgrade is free!
