Duke Nukem 3D features the critters, and guns from the game by the same name. This screen saver is not interactive. A critter or the game box or some other target will pop up and the gun on the bottom of the screen will blow them up. You can, among other things, set the action from wimp to pilem up. The shareware version has just one animation screen, the registered version has 5 complete animation screen. 

There are 4 full screen wallpaper images in the shareware version, and 4 wallpaper tiles; there are 50 full wallpaper images in the registered version, and 25 wallpaper tiles. There are also 10 sound clips, and 25 in the registered version. Also in the registered version is 16 midi music tracks, an Image Carousel still image screen saver/slide show [50 Duke Nukem scenes] and 10 Duke Nukem jigsaw puzzles.

If you are a Duke Nukem fan, this seems to have it all.

As with all their screen savers, you can pay for this one or join their ScreenSaver club. If you do, you pay either $34.95 plus s&h for the standard membership, or $49.95 plus s&h for the gold membership. The above prices are for one year, and you get a full version screen saver every 4 to 8 weeks, exclusive club screen savers only for club members, a free CD Rom with over 400 space related photos, free subscription to a club newsletter, discount offers and coupons for other of their products, and with the gold membership you also get a free copy of the Screen Saver Hits CD-Rom which features the full, “pay for” versions of 9 of the most popular, [these would cost $65 singly] There is Hey Macaroni!, Macaroni Antics, Holyear vs Teethson, Mikey likes Ears. Spray Paint, Liverdance Parody, Bill’s Pie Toss, The Clinton Blues, Ghoul’s Delight, and Princess Diana Tribute.
