Flaming Pear Software keeps adding to its famous plug-in filter line. The newest additions are Glitterato and Melancholytron.

Glitterato is another plugin which generates stars and nebulas, making it a perfect companion for SolarCell and LunarCell. As usual, the plug-in is not only compatible with Adobe PhotoShop, but with Paint Shop Pro and several other graphics/image editors. The user interface is simple and clean. You control most effects by sliders, and the rest are presets standard with the plugin. The top seven sliders control the Nebula (scale, texture, fibrousness, contrast and opacity), the bottom five control the Stars (density, brightness, scale, depth and color).

Like all other Flaming Pear filters, Glitterato has the "dice" random effects control. New to Flaming Pear, and a very welcome addition, is the "undo" function, which allows you to go back to the previous effect (in case you make a change which doesn't turn out as you had hoped).

Glitterato is a wonderful addition to the family, and one graphics addicts will be playing with for a good long time! The demo version is time limited; download it and give it a try!
