Most diary programs are calendars hooked to notepads. This one has extras. For example, you can add tabbed pages to your diary, you can use a password or not, and you can make as many diaries as you wish, if your personality calls for that.

The diary section is called the 'dated' section and will accept txt & rtf imports. In the "undated" section of the program you can't import, but can use tabbed pages for whatever subjects you would be regularly writing on.

There is a full note function - more than a one-note scratchpad - and a to do list.
