Type of Program: Color Picker for Graphics Editors, HTML editors
Supported Platforms: Windows 95/98/2000/NT
Company Name: AV Bros.
Installed Size: 701 kb
When you build webpages or webgraphics, picking the right color and finding its hex code are two different things. You could open a graphics editor every time you need to pick a color, but as anyone who uses one knows, graphics editors use a lot of resources and take time to open. A really handy little alternative is Colorist.
Colorist opens in a fraction of the time and is a miniscule 701 kb, as opposed to several times that much space to open most graphics editors (anywhere from 20-150 MB, depending on the program). Colorist shows you not only the hex value (the web-color number) for every color, but the RGB and HSB numbers. You can easily copy the RGB, HSB and HEX values for the color to clipboard for future use. The library of named colors contains over 500. And, if you look at the screenshot of Colorist I've attached, you can save up to 6 colors that you use most frequently in those boxes down in the lower right hand corner.
The only difference between the registered and unregistered copies is the phrase - "Unregistered Copy", that is added to RGB or Hex values when you copy them to the clipboard until you register program. After registration phrase will be canceled. The shareware is not, however, time limited.
Colorist is a very handy little program. Download it today!
