Opera 5.0 comes with a host of new features, including an integrated, modular e-mail client, a brand new contact manager, and enhanced support for the open web standards that have made Opera what it is today, including HTML 4.0 support. 

Opera uses the Java Runtime Environment 1.2. You can select your own language, print preview, and there is a window bar and full screen presentation mode. Also any transfer that has been interrupted can be resumed. It also has a built in newsgroup reader.

Opera 5.0 is the first free ad-based version of this browser, which means that it is not necessary to purchase a license to use it over 30 days.
