Here's a program you can really take for a spin. Take Drive2Drive out for
a test drive and see how it performs. Drive2Drive makes it a snap to transfer all of your current data stored on your Master HDD to another installed as the Slave. You do this completely by pointing and clicking in this Windows based program.
So, why would an average user need, or want Drive2Drive? With the advent of bigger and bigger hard drives in the scope of storage capacity, the consumer will still find ways to fill-up even the largest hard drive. For an example, let's say you have a 40g hard drive, it's loaded with all your favorite applications and everything about your system is working smoothly. Now, you suddenly realize that this 40g hard drive is now down to less than a gig. You know that if you went and purchased a new 100g hard drive you could install it and then reinstall all the applications. But why do all that when Drive2Drive can automatically transfer all your existing data onto the new 100g? And in a fraction of the time!
After you install Drive2Drive and anytime thereafter when you restart your computer, Drive2Drive can automatically detect the existence of any new hard drives recognized by Windows. You then can do a number of operations from Windows to the newly installed hard drive through the easy Drive2Drive interface. When you transfer existing data from the old hard drive to the new hard drive, Drive2Drive will, as stated transfer all your programs and settings to the other hard drive so all you have to do then is (if you want), is to make the new hard drive (the 100g) you're Master, boot on it and you're ready to go!
One thing I liked about Drive2Drive over other products like this is the fact that you can, if needed, transfer the contents of two hard drives of the same size. So, if your problem is that your original hard drive has gone bad (or is going bad) for one reason or another and you only want to, or are limited to installing the same size of hard drive, Drive2Drive will do the job! And if some of you are wondering if Drive2Drive copies partitions, yes, and does so very well.
Drive2Drive is a time saver! You won't have to reinstall all those programs and settings just to change hard drives or upgrade any more. Let Drive2Drive to it for you in a few easy clicks! As many of you know, I put a heavy emphasis on how the product performs as well as email support. Drive2Drive is clearly a winner!
