CoolPage Webmaster Edition

Type of Program: WYSIWYG HTML Editor
Supported Platforms: Windows 95/98/NT/2000
Company Name: 3Dize Inc
Version: 2.7
Price: $79
Installed Size: 13 mb
I installed this program with ease and used it for 24 hours and
then uninstalled my other HTML editors because CoolPage had made them totally
superfluous.
CoolPage is a dream to use for both beginners and advanced users alike and just
wipes out the opposition in both cost and operation. Other products claim to be
WYSIWYG but only this one is 100% and is what all learners should use when
starting out and what all advanced users should use for an easier life. This is
true drag and drop web design with pixel perfect positioning and all the
capabilities of importing the likes of Flash, Applets, SWFlets, Java scripts
etc. (no programming knowledge required) It's all there, mouseovers, multi
events, layers, unlimited undos, image maps, multi media, freedom to move the
various elements anywhere on the page, re-ordering of layers and all without
having to go near any HTML though of course there is a facility to insert code
if you want to. As yet you can't import html pages but that is coming in the
next release due in April. On top of all this when you publish your files it
publishes two versions side by side, one for Internet Explorer and one for
Netscape so there's no cross browser problems. Other major programs don't do
that. Included in this edition are 600 objects that are integrated into the COOL
Page Objects window. Unlike other large collections that are filled with
useless, low-quality images, all objects in this 600 collection are of
high-quality and popular subject matter. The collection includes:
175 Animations - 52 Backgrounds - 14 Bars (dividers) some animated - 27 Buttons
- 60 Clip Art (by 3Dize and found no where else) - 230 Icons - 60 various
The Help files are just excellent and there is also a superb help page on the
web with all sorts of tutorials (very clear and simple to understand),
resources, tips and tricks and galleries of sites created with this program
(very impressive). Support at the time of writing is excellent, I got a very
fast response to a question I emailed.
There is a fully functional free edition which the authors positively encourage
you to download and use and I can see why. Once you have tried it you'll want
it. If you want to see the full list of the benefits of buying the webmaster
edition go to

If you want to start making web pages or you are an advanced user this is the
bees knees and you should be downloading it right now.
