The install is easy and intuitive. You can put the program files easily anywhere you want.

First of all. you need Windows Media Player and the RealNetworks Player installed for CTube to work.

What this program does is stores a database of TV types stations that broadcast over the internet and lets you easily connect to any of them. It uses a drop down list of different categories:

Government
Live Video/Webcam
Music Videos
Music/Entertainment
On Demand
Religious
Science/Education
Talk/News

As of this writing it has over 600 stations available for viewing.

It has adjustments so that you can view the pictures in different sizes including full screen. It even lets you adjust the volume while in the program.

It is setup so that even if you have a dialup connection it is useful. You can set it up so that the only stations in your lists are streamed for dial-up.

The trial version is severely limited. You get 15 days of trial use, plus on each drop down lists you can only choose one of the first 10 selections. The most limiting factor though is the 60 second limit viewing limit.

In conclusion. You probably could go out on the internet find all the programs that stream, put together a list, make bookmarks.. In other words you would have to be nuts to do all the work that CTube will do for you for $24.
