Adobe, the competition's getting fierce -- Namo WebEditor has a
site Wizard and Manager rivalling your GoLive at half the price!
WebEditor has a click-and-drag visual-editing view, a source code editor, page
and e-mail templates, and HTML validation. The work space is simple to navigate
featuring toolbars, menus, and tabs to access the edit and HTML interfaces (you
can click either tab to switch between interfaces).
The HTML view has several handy display preferences, such as syntax coloring,
word wrap, and line numbering, making it much easier to distinguish your HTML
tags from content. Namo validates your coding against HTML specs, checking for
browser-specific tags so that your site won't be cluttered with syntax errors.
It's more than sufficient to make sure your HTML will be supported by common
browsers.
If you're just learning HTML, Namo's not for you. But if you have a grasp of
HTML and a beer budget, Namo's a champagne web editor at a beer price!
The trial version is fully functional for 45 days. It has the same features as a
full version, except that it includes a reduced set of clip art and themes and
the spelling dictionaries are not included.
Namo does offer online knowledge base and user forums, as well as free technical
support through fax or e-mail.
I very much enjoyed using Namo WebEditor and heartily recommend it!
