I wasn't going to review this program but I was persuaded. Now I
can't stop using it, what a wonderful little gizmo. It was originally created
because the author was fed up with typing out snippets of code that were
repeated so he wrote this to save time.
Text inserter allows you to copy bits of text that you are likely to use again
and again. This text is represented by a button in an on screen menu (can be
hidden) all you have to do is place your cursor where you want the text and
press the button and in it goes. It will work in any text box area. Wonderful!
Just think of the possibilities : Form filling, web site submissions, html code,
Java, standard signature, Standard Salutation and so on and so on.
It doesn't stop there. You can also set buttons to open URLs or to launch
applications. Once the text insert has been set up it can be called in one of
1: From a button on the floating bar.
2: Minimize the bar and you can then right-click on the system tray icon to
produce a menu with all the available items
3: Each item can be assigned a shortcut (like CTRL + F4) which can be used
anywhere, at any time.
Be warned it is addictive but it is also probably the most useful tool I have.
