When I find a new program I think will help our readers I want
to spread the word of it as fast as I can. PINs is no exception. I have been
using another password management program for a couple of years but have now
found a great replacement for it (even though the other one was Freeware as
well).
When you have numerous passwords to remember you want one simple program to
handle them all. At least when I want to grab a stored password I don’t want to
click or type cumbersome keystrokes or have to go through several clicks. I just
want to be able to get the information and get out.
PINs is a nice Windows program for the safe storing of secure information like
passwords, accounts, PINs (Personal Identification Numbers) etc. The password
you initially use to open PINs is not even saved anywhere and will be the only
one you need to remember! Clipboard contents are deleted upon program Minimize
or Close. Speaking of which, I really like the fact that when you Minimize the
program it resides in the SystemTray and not the Taskbar. PINs does not require
any type of special installation, keycodes or un-encryption methods to use and
does not need any special DLLs, drivers or system files. So what does all this
mean? It means that PINs can run directly from a floppy disk, including data
files, without installing any files on a PC.
So if you have way too many passwords, account numbers and the such to remember
why remember each and every one of them when you can use PINs? PINs is very easy
to use, can hold an unlimited amount of information, has 448-bit algorithm
Blowfish encryption, and is totally free!
