Okay I finally had to go to another email program because my freeware one that I have been using for years just locked up tight. There wasn't any way around it.

But how in hell was I to salvage those valuable old emails? Mailbag Assistant to the rescue! Boy those people at Fookes Software should put me on their payroll for trumpeting their stuff. They make some of the best software on the planet and they are always improving it.

They actually make Mailbag Assistant as a multi-purpose tool that can be used in conjunction with your email program to help you search, organize, analyze and archive your messages. That it does. And very well Thank You!

It supports Outlook Express, Eudora, Netscape Messenger, Pegasus, The Bat!, Forte Agent, Unix mail, Calypso, PocoMail, FoxMail, and EML message files.

So back to my story. Did it help rescue my old email? Yes indeed each and everyone!

There are a number of additions in version 3. The most important one I think is that it can now detect viruses in attachments. However you should know that it also works a lot better in thisd version with more email programs.
