Funny Chewer a PacMan game knock-off with catchy music and
colorful, albeit fuzzy, graphics. No matter what resolution I set my monitor on,
I could only see a portion of the game at any given time, which made it
difficult to play. Unlike PacMan, the FC game board is a closed area - there is
no way to exit and re-enter the game to avoid being eaten by the monsters. I got
through round 1, but the game malfunctioned on Round 2 so that my arrow controls
no longer moved the chewer, resulting in my very quick demise.
Installation was quick and easy, but the first time I launched the game it
caused my PC to crash, possibly because I did not restart my computer after
installation? Note that neither the installation program nor the documentation I
saw made any mention of rebooting as a requirement to installation.
Uninstallation was also quick and easy, and handled immediately as a satisfying
end to this rather disappointing experiment. Overall, I found the game to be
unoriginal and marginally unplayable, which is hardly a justification for its
$16 price tag.
