The first thing you notice is how user friendly Smart Protector is even in the installation process. Not only does it allow you to place the program files where ever you want them, but it asks where you want program shortcuts to appear (the Desktop, Start Men and important for security in the Add / Remove programs).

The downloadable shareware version is a 15 day fully functional version. This gives you plenty of time to try it out.

Okay here are the nits and gritties. There are all kinds of way you can leave tracks on the Internet as you are casually surfing along. This program finds those tracks and give you the options that will either keep some of them or delete them. These tracks include: cookies, history, temporary internet files, index.dat files, home page, files in the recycle bin and your recent documents.

It does something that I have never seen before. That is you can save the tracks that are there on the computer. Use the computer, then erase all of your tracks and restore the ones that were there. Hmmm I can think of a number of uses for this.

The people at Smart Soft have done an excellent job with this program even down to the Help files.

In conclusion I heartily recommend this program.
