First of all about the installation. During the installation you are given the opportunity to pick which language you want the program in. They are English, Spanish, German, French, Italian and Swedish. Then you can do your proxy server settings (pick auto detect) and you are given the chance to pick where you want the program installed. You should be on the Internet while doing the setup as the program automatically checks for updates.

Okay lets get one thing straight they are not about to let you have the complete program so that you do your search engine submissions and then decide not to pay for the program. What you get is a demo. The demo will operate with 5 of the 364 search engines, but is otherwise fully functional.

All programs have a learning curve. What you do with this one to get started is the obvious. Do the Tutorial in the "Help" file. It is easy to understand and along the way you are going to learn search engine tactics.

Each website submission is called a project. You fill out the information in each of the dialog areas for each domain. That way you can have the program setup for doing submissions and reporting for different domains without duplicating entries.

The first entry is the url for the domain that you want to do your submission for, then email info for that submission if you want a report emailed to you or someone else. (There are other custom fields that can be used also, like making custom reports and optional working directories.)

Then you enter the search phrase that you want ranking on. (the program walks you through this nicely giving you good examples). After that you pick the search engines that you want to include.

After that you "Run" the program. Note: There are basically two parts of the search engine portion of the program. The Ranking and Submission portions. The way you enter the information for each section and "Run" them are similar and the Help file walks you through them.

There is another part of this program that is unique for this type of software as far as I know. There is a domain monitor that will keep track of all of your domain names.

Search Engine Commando can send you email messages for the following events:

Something in the domain name registration changed.
A domain name is about to expire (Search Engine Commando will send weekly notices within 30 days of expiration).
A domain name has expired.
A domain name has transitioned from registered to unregistered status.

Now lets get down to the nits and gritties..

Is this program worth the big bucks? The answer is an emphatic Yes! If you want to do search engine submissions and rankings with efficiency then this program is just the ticket.
