Maelstrom is a particle system for Windows. Can I give you an explanation of a particle system in 25 words or less? Hell no! If I could I wouldn't be writing software reviews, I be writing my slightly sarcastic comments for some scientific journal! What I can tell you is this. WOW! The old man came in the living room and seeing me not playing a game, he asked what I was doing. All I could do was point at the computer and burble. I know my limitations, anything I tried to say about this program would be an injustice. If you like color, beauty, radically different things, or just want to know what the blazes I'm talking about you MUST at least check this out. From there I think you will have to love it!!

Select from 22 themes with names such as Blizzard, Comets, Figure Skaters, Jellyfish, Milky Way, Saturn, Twister, Wormhole, etc. You can set the theme slow time, the transition time, the particle size, the maximum number of particles, ignore mouse moves or not, and set for 3D mode for a real cool effect with the red/blue glasses like ya used to get in the movies. Matter of fact register the screensaver, and they will send you a pair of them red/blue glasses to check it out. There is also an advanced button, I looked at it and it's so hard to explain to you what I don't understand myself. This demo version is good for 5
days.

Whatever Aragon Systems did to create this screensaver, I certainly hope they have plans to do more of it!!
