Type of Program: Anti-Virus
Supported Platforms: Win95/98/ME/NT4/XP/2000
Company Name: XRamp Technologies, Inc.
Installed Size: 30 Mb
The installation is intuitive and one that you are used to.
After you start the install you will be asked for a 30 day trial key. You get it
by filling out a form that pops-up. After you fill out the form it is
emailed to you right away.
Well it was bound to happen. Someone was going to challenge the big boy of
anti-virus software Symantec. Others have tried in the past, but mostly
half-hearted attempts with inferior software. Not this time XRamp Technologies
has made an anti-virus product that is easy to use fully featured, and at a very
nice price. By fully featured I mean scheduling, email monitoring plus advanced
technology that will detect unknown viruses.
XRampAV offers to make you an emergency start-up disk after you finish the
install, do it before you forget. XRampAV has made it so that you can do
automatic updates, I suggest that you do that too.
If XRampAV detects a virus it will move it to a virtual directory. If you
request it the files stored in this directory will be automatically sent to
XRamp for analysis. A report will be sent back to you within 24 hours. How is
that for a nice touch?
In conclusion I predict that XRampAV will take the anti-virus market by storm
and be the new standard by which others are judged.
