This program generates a series of games from various chess
problems that can be solved by someone who knows nothing more than which way the
pieces move. There are placed enemy pieces and yours, you must capture all the
enemy pieces in the time allotted and the number of moves allotted. A move that
does not capture a piece is not allowed. Some of the puzzles or levels could be
solved by a 5 or 6 year old child and some are very difficult indeed.
The program has 2 modes, play and training. In play all the tasks are in a
pre-set sequence, you will points for correctly performing the task, and you can
compete with someone else. In training there are no points, hints, you can
retract moves and take over, you can set the difficulty level .The game mode
encompasses 10 levels, the difficulty showing in how many pieces you must
capture, the number of pieces at your disposal, the number of moves you are
allowed, and the time you have to complete the task. At each level you will get
15 tasks, and if you do not complete at least 12 of the 15, you will go back to
the first task and lose your points that you made on that level.
This game will help your chess game after a while, teaching you moves, and
thinking ahead.
