Type of Program: File listing utility
Supported Platforms: Win9x/ME/NT/2000/XP
Company Name: Robinmatch Limited
Version: 2.02

Installed Size: 4.65 Mb
During the installation DDFileCatcher does all the right things.
It lets you place the program files where you want them, plus it asks permission
to put icons on your Desktop and Quick Launch area. You also are give the option
to install addins for Microsoft Word and Excel.
Here is what DDFileCatcher does. (From the Help File)
It allows you to quickly make lists of filepaths of files, shortcuts and folders
which are dropped onto it. If, for example, you search for files in Windows
Explorer, you can drop these files onto DDFileCatcher, which will then display
them with their full filepaths. If you need to add these files to a document, you
can use the "Send filepathslist to Clipboard" command and paste them. It's also
possible to save the filepaths list in a textfile. You can add a comment to the
file and automatically add the time and date the file was saved.
Just to give you a better idea of how it works, I went to my C drive and
randomly dragged and dropped some files into DDFileCatcher. I the pushed the
button "Text to Clipboard". I then pasted the results here:
C:\Program Files\DateInTray\license.txt
C:\Program Files\FireTrust\aol-echo.wav
C:\Program Files\Google\Google Desktop Search\docs\privacy.html
C:\Program Files\Kensington\MouseWorks\mouseinfo.ocx
C:\Program Files\NetMeeting\nmasnt.dll
I think that you get the gist of it by now.
In conclusion DDFileCatcher has found a niche market that no one else has taken
advantage of. The really good news is not that they have found this niche, but
how much thought they have put into the program. The options are really well
thought out, and DDFileCatcher is extremely easy to use. A Real Winner!
