I was a bit worried about the installation of Maxivista. I
figured that any software messing around with video, networking and two
different operating systems was going to be a challenge. Well I was wrong
Maxivista installed easily over my LAN with my main PC using XP and my laptop
using Win 98. It took about 2 minutes and I was up and running!
Maxivista is a program that can increase your productivity by 30% or more. How
can it do that? Trust me when you see how much time you save by being able
to have applications open in two monitors you'll be convinced. Plus this is the
really good part using MaxiVista you don't need a new graphics card.
So what do you need to connect the monitors of two computers together with
Maxivista? First of all you are going to need some way of connecting the two
computers. It can be a wired LAN a high-speed Firewire connection, a wireless
LAN. It can be done with a network card in both computers and a crossover-cable.
Then you need in the Primary PC: Microsoft Windows 2000/2003/XP. In the
Secondary PC: Windows 98/ME/NT4/2000/2003/XP. That is all you need.
Think about this, don't you have a laptop that just gathers dust between trips?
Maybe another computer that nobody uses? Well Maxivista will make it a useful
tool for you everyday.
In conclusion Maxivista is a must have utility if you have another computer to
hook it up to. The people at Bartels Media give you a fully featured demo good
for 30 days or 100 uses. I'm positive that you will be convinced of it's
usefulness the first day you use it.
