As I find is par for the course, you find out from the installation of a program, how good the program will be. I guess it isn't so strange if you think about it. The company that takes care of you from the beginning is going to take care of you all the time. In the case of zsCompare the installation is just what you wanted. You can place the program files where you want, plus it gives you choices on places to put the program shortcuts.

When you first start zsCompare you find that you get a full 30 day trial period. Then you are give the choice of picking a method, or not of checking for program updates. A really nice feature.

zsCompare has a dual pane compare window that allows you to see the files in the two folders that you want to work with. It will color code the files that are different in the two windows. You set the compare options with zsCompare you can have it compare file size, date etc.

There are a number of uses for zsCompare that you may not have thought of. First of of course it is useful for synchronizing files/folders of your laptop and desktop computer. But zsCompare does many other things too. If will compare contents of zip files, plus create, update, and delete zip files. You can do backups with zsCompare and it will also validate that a cd has been copied correctly.

In conclusion zsCompare is a world class utility and I heartily recommend it to you.
