The installation of Ace is easy and intuitive. You can place the
program files where you want them. When you first start up Ace you are presented
with the Preferences Window below.
Once you fill in some or all of that info you can get a real
look at Ace. (The only requirement is your initials).
Then you get the Window below:
When you get into Ace you find out that the downloaded version
is good for trial usage of 30 contacts and three users solely for your own
internal needs on the computer on which this installation is being executed.
Now lets get into the program itself. Well what do you want out of a contact
manager? I imagine that you want the ability to do a number of things
efficiently and here is a important synonym intuitively. These will be, at a
minimum, have a place to store some records about people and some kind of
scheduling ability (calendar). Other things that you may desire are
import/export abilities, the ability to construct databases and in a business
situation of course that ability of handling multiple users. And sharing
So how does Ace stack up to these requirements? It measures up and goes way
beyond them. From when you first open Ace you will see how easy it is to
navigate around it. You will see how easy it is to use and also you will find
out that it has any of the advanced capabilities that you might be looking for.
One of the things that I didn't mention above is reports, with Ace the Reports
menu contains fifteen build in reports, which can be customized in an infinite
variety of ways.
Ace also has very good and fast search abilities. Plus it can be used as your
email program too, with the ability to attach a copy of the email to a contacts
One of the many nice things about Ace is that you have an option of selecting
pending events to be Checked at startup, Checked once a day,
Always opened on startup, or never check.
In conclusion, if you or your company are looking for a complete solution to
