The installation of BrainStorm is easy and intuitive. You can
place the program files where you want them.
Well I hate to say it, but unless you are willing to look at an online Demo or
go through the Overview in the Help file don't bother downloading BrainStorm.
Listen just do it dammit! Go to the Homepage and on the right side in a column
view you will see Demo, pick the one of the 3 choices that is best for you. I
found out that what worked the best for me was to watch the Demo, then try
working with BrainStorm and then watch the Demo again.
Now listen up! BrainStorm is going to change your life! It is going to make
order out of chaos.

With BrainStorm the process goes like this, first get a starting point, the
example they use in the Demo is a wedding, then under that add some other
elements of a wedding, like guests, wedding hall, food, invitations, bride,
groom, church. Now here is the first thing you can do with BrainStorm that sets
it apart, you can easily take by a number of methods, any of these categories
and put them under another. As an example you can put food under wedding hall.
So what I'm getting at is that you easily structure information any way you want
with BrainStorm.
There are all kinds of ways that you can import information into BrainStorm,
plus once you have it you can easily rearrange it, and enhance it in different
ways.
Then you can export the information in a number of ways. You can print it, you
can save it and publish it to HTML. You can output all of the model or from a
selected entry downwards (ie its own descendants). Or output only entries
containing certain text.
I hope that you are getting the picture, because I know that you don't want to
read pages of my thoughts. But let me leave you with a few more things to
consider. BrainStorm has literally been around forever (1981) it has an
impressive list of people who use it (even Douglas Adams used it)and yes it will
change and improve the way you work.
