This cute little game has a many segmented critter coming down
from the top of the screen. There are many cactus scattered around. You must
shoot this critter which each time you shoot it, it becomes another critter.
Every time one end of one of the critters hit a cactus, he drops down one level
and turns to go the other way. Each segment you hit forms another cactus and
also there is a tumbleweed that adds cactus.
You can shoot the cactus but it takes several hits to rid yourself of one
cactus. There are other monsters that try to kill you. Some times there will
come a box on the side telling you of something else you can do during the level
to add more points. Sometimes a radio falls out, if you collect it you will get
a special mission. If you kill the bug in the time allotted you will get a
power-up such as energy shield, extra life, guided missiles, shotguns, and more.
After each 4 levels there is a bonus level, then you go on to a different
planet. There are 10 planets in all.
You can turn the music on or off, have 1-9 lives, set the difficulty to easy,
normal or hard, and set obstacle reset on or off. If this is on each level will
have a new pattern of cactus, off you get the same pattern as you were left from
the last level, which can become somewhat harder.
This could be a fun game for the whole family.
