Island Wars 2 Christmas Edition

Type of program: Arcade
Supported platforms: Win 9x/ME/2K/XP
Company name: InterAction studios
Version: 2.50
Cost: $19.95
Installed size: 9 MB
Let the wars begin! You are out in the middle of nowhere, just 2
little islands with 4 trees on each. Why can’t we all just get along? Well, you
don’t. You gotta blow up his 4 trees before he does the same to you, as losing
all 4 trees loses the game.
You can play against the computer or a friend. There is many enemy
types-helicopters, planes, balloons, and more. There is also many types of
weapons, both for and against you-bombs, air to ground missile's, submarine
launched ICBM’s and much more.
There are multiple game types, and each game type has it’s own similar and
different rules. and all can be set for easy, normal and hard. The game types
are Classic War, just you and him-mano a mano; Invasion, where you defend again
increasingly difficult waves; [difficult? in level 10 there are a couple of huge
dirigible type monsters that generate lots of air to ground missile's]
Challenge, where you fight your way through increasingly difficult islands;
Balloon Pop, a race against time-10 rounds-shoot as many balloons as you can;
Free for All, where you make your own rules and tailor the game to what you
want, and Screensaver, which is not a game but a fireworks screensaver-leave it
running and listen to the Caribbean style music-sunshine optional.
There are many options and bonus available. In the demo version only Classic and
Invasion are available, and in Invasion only 10 of the 50 waves are available.
Registering the program gets you rid of the nag screens, all 50 of the waves in
Invasion, full documentation guides and hints, cheat codes, unlimited upgrades
and support, the ability to defend using the autocannonist, and many extra
goodies.
Check this one out, I really got a kick out of Invasion, and as we all know, I
don’t like shooters...mostly because the safest place to be in a shooter with me
is in front of me....can’t hit my butt with a scoop shovel! But I liked this
one!
