This strange little slot machine was interesting, but it really confused me. [confusion in a minute, stats first] It is a 5 reel with an up to 243 payline machine. You can change the reel speed, payout percentage, toggle sound on or off, win counter on or off, change screen size, and change from one player to another and view his stats. The icons on the reel are all nautical in nature and animate, for instance, when I won with the lighthouses, they shot the lighthouse beam from one side to the other.

Each coin is worth a penny and one thing I didn’t like is that to get funds to bet, you must click the coin counter-each click giving you a rousing quarter. Since the 243win bet requires $5, you will spend a few minutes madly clicking so you can bet more than twice in a row.

Now for the confusion. There is a pay table, and it lost me completely. I can understand 3 lighthouses on same line wins X amount, but that wasn’t what I saw. So I decide to just play and see what happened. I clicked till finger was sore and bet [243 win option of course] several times with nothing. I got a couple of wins that bore little resemblance to any slot machine I’ve seen.

I mean why would a wheel in the first reel top position, second reel bottom position, and third reel top position, nothing in reels 4 and 5 be a winner? Finally, I did something that triggered the free spin feature. [don’t bother asking, did it more than once and never did figure out what did it] Suddenly the reels went away, and there was an image of a 3 ship boat race. They started on the left and on the right was a 30, 20 and a 10. The winning boat hit the 30 and I was given 30 free spins.

The autoplay option took control and the slot machine started to rock and roll. When the dust settled and the game gave me back control. I had won $117 and change. And clicking one of the different bet options didn’t help. For instance, clicking on the 3 way bet I got reels 2 to 5 grayed out, reel 1 stayed white, all 5 reels spun and I won because of a lighthouse in reel one top position and in reel 5 middle position. It was interesting, but I think that personally, I prefer slot machines that I can understand why I just won. To each their own.
