The installation of Photo Finale 4 is easy and intuitive. You can place the program files where you want them. Plus you are asked if you want a Desktop and Quick Launch icon. You then find out it will look for and install a DirectX Update and .NET Framework 2.0 if missing. If you are using a firewall like ZoneAlarm you are bound to get an alert at this time. Warning: If you do not have these installed and you do not have a Broadband Internet connection your system is going to choke because it is a 60 Mb download for the two. At the end of the Install Process ZoneAlarm generated another alert saying that Photo Finale 4 was trying to access the internet again.

When I first ran Photo Finale 4 I had it Find and Add Photos automatically. It found 2092 photos. This only took about 5 minutes. When it finished with this process what I got was this Window:

If you take a good look at this Window you will get the idea that Photo Finale 4 does about everything that you could want with your photos. And you are correct, with Photo Finale 4 you can not only organize your photos into categories, (not just the ones in the upper left, you are free to make your own categories) you can also edit, email, make slide shows, backup to CD/DVD, print, make web albums, and find photos by date. Plus import from scanner, camera, card reader and cd.

There are other things it does too, like create Greeting Cards, Calendars, Album Pages, Frames, add Borders, and make Certificates.

I could go on and on, I could tell you how intuitive Photo Finale 4 is, how incredibly easy and effective the edit controls are, but since you get a 15 day trial period of the fully featured program I'm going to let you oh and ah on your own.

I hope that you are suitably impressed, because I certainly am. Without a doubt Photo Finale 4 is the best all in one photo program that I have ever seen. - Hands Down!
