Process Master is a task manager type utility designed for viewing and killing processes. Process master is a fairly straight forward program which could serve as a good replacement for the windows task manager. Process master not only displays the tasks from windows but also any hidden processes such as those caused by Trojans or root kits.

The application itself is very simple to use and includes options for how often to update(i.e.: refresh) the process list. When you see a program running that shouldn't be there or one you just want to end a click of the mouse is all that's needed to rid your system of the running task.

I got the opportunity to evaluate both the trial version and the full version. The only problem I can find with this software is the fact that with the trial version you can only view the processes that are running, you cannot end them.

It might have been nice to limit the number of tasks that could be killed in the trial.

I will say however that the full version works well and does exactly what it was intended to do. The program includes a help file and the web site has a tech. Support section if you should ever need it. I also got a response from their support people when I e-mailed them so if you run in to trouble help is available.

In short, if your looking for a compact easy to use task manager program to replace the one that comes with windows Process Master might be the answer your looking for as long as you're willing to pay a fair price for it.
