Well, Texas Holdem Video Poker is a card game. So why is it
called video poker you ask? Got me. Matter of fact, I been having a heck of a
time all night, I just don’t understand it.
It’s not cause they didn’t try, they got rules that are available in the game,
and also got a little box that keeps reminding you what you are supposed to be
doing. Now it says this is a very popular game online so maybe it is just me.
In the game you are dealt 2 cards and 5 are in the middle of the table. You have
to make the best 5 card hand from the 2 hole cards and the 5 in the middle of
the table. Of course 2 of them are dealt face down so you gotta guess there.
Actually as the author says, this isn’t so much of a game as it is a trainer for
the beginner or a relaxation for the experienced player.
So here’s my problem. They deal out 5 pairs of cards, and tell you to take the
pair you think will have the best hand with the 3 cards you can see. Under each
pair is the expected percentage of each hand. So, every time I pick what the
computer says is the highest ranked set of cards, I lose!
Anyway, check it out, I can’t write anymore, gotta go back and try again. Ain’t
gonna whip me!
