Aston is a shell replacement program for Windows. For those who don't know what a shell replacement tool does it basically changes the interface you use some times subtley and some times drastically. In the case of Aston it can really be as much as you like or as little as you like. I tested Aston extensively and among the included options are adding or removing tool bar menus, or changing the look of any part of the desktop(including the system tray and start button).

If you can't do what you'd like with the programs options there are always the addons with which can do about anything you want. Maybe you want to track your free memory or cpu usage on your desktop, or maybe you'd rather just do away with the whole "pc feel" of your computer and have the whole thing looking like a Macintosh. Either of these are choices for you with Aston as the program will handle them easily. The program includes some skins, and there are literally hundreds more available on line both through the www.astonshell.com web site and through many others just search Aston skin and you'll find plenty.

Aston is as complex or simple as you want, if you want to just switch between windows shell and aston and apply a skin you can with only a couple button presses. On the other hand if you want to you can go all out and redesign your whole desktop with your own graphics that's an option too.

The price here is good for everything the program will do and Aston won't leave you lost and scratching your head like many other skinning or shell replacement programs do.
