Desktop ruler, is as its name suggests, a program that creates a virtual ruler on your desktop. I installed the program and ran it for the first time, while it has no apparent registration reminder, it doesn't seem to want to do much in its unregistered mode.

I dug through the options and among those listed are measuring units, the ability to make the ruler horizontal or vertical, change its color and many other nifty things. The one thing the demo version won't do apparently is the most important... Actually measuring things. This program may be loaded with features but as it is apparently unusable in its unregistered mode I can't say much for it, or even validate its claim that it is in fact a ruler.

There is a help file included outlining all the supposed features but I won't swear you'll find them working either. The ones I tested were measurement units (apparently disabled), color of the ruler (working), and turning the ruler from horizontal to vertical (working).

If you're looking for a ruler program you can pay for this one, and hope it works, or keep looking.
