Weather Report Studio is supposed to be a weather predicting and tracking application. The truth of the matter is however somewhat different.

I ran the application, as there is in fact no installer Goddess only knows how I'm going to remove it) and then sat staring as the window loaded up. Which admittedly didn't take long but I was very glad I waited. The only thing this program does is advertises the "Weather Studio Toolbar".

If you do enter a zip code in to the box provided it starts a download of the toolbar. Before doing something silly like installing software from a company I've never heard of and who already tried to pass this off as a weather program in itself I decided to have a read through the "terms of use". The terms of use in this case included some nifty catch phrases like "and any third party software made available in conjunction with or through this software" (read: spyware) or "Competitive travel fares from Orbitz delivered in a panel that appears from the Browser frame when searching for travel fares on popular travel websites" (read: lots of ads I probably don't want to see).

Now the terms of use do say, there's no spyware in the toolbar, but to be honest I've already been tricked by these guys once when I downloaded what was supposed to be a weather forecasting program am I going to give them a chance to put more things on my system and maybe forget to tell me about included goodies? I think not, further my job as a reviewer is not to debunk and dig through code its to review software. Which I'll do here in a single phrase: "Nothing to see here, keep moving folks don't waste your time."
